Consultation and Outreach Services

Counseling Services offers consultation and outreach services to faculty, staff, and departments of San José State University.  Personal and educational counselors are available to work with you and your department on various issues.  If you are concerned about a particular student and would like to consult with one of our counselors,

or if you would like more information on implementing an outreach program, such as having one of our counselors present to various student groups or classes,

Students are also welcome to consult with Dr. Ellen J. Lin at MOSAIC Cross-Cultural Center on Tuesdays from noon-12:50pm (“Tuesdays with Ellen”).  Ellen can provide consultations if you are concerned about a student, friend, or family member, concerned about some of your own struggles, or if you have quick questions about Counseling Services, or other campus services, etc.  For Fall of 2008, “Tuesdays with Ellen” will be available until October 28, 2008.
