Re-Entry StudentsAdults who have been out of school awhile sometimes have a difficult time returning to an academic setting, and many feel out of sync with younger students. (Actually, more than 10,000 SJSU students are age 30 or over). Re-Entry Workshops sponsored by educational counselors are designed to ease the way for adults in transition by providing program and course information, encouragement, and help in judging how previous education and work experience can fit into a SJSU program. Educational Counseling also assists disqualified students in returning to complete their degrees, assists those Californians who qualify for the Over 60 Taxpayer's Benefit Program, and provides information to those interested in the Adult Special Admissions Program. Educational Counseling offers workshops, brown bag lunch programs, peer support, and advising throughout the academic year for Re-Entry students. Re-Entry Brown Bag Lunch Workshop Series - Informal, Interesting, Informative! Grab your food and join us. We will meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month from NOON to 1:00 PM in ADM 269 (the ADM building is located at 7th and San Fernando). The Brown Bag Lunch Series is designed to provide an opportunity for students to gather and enjoy shared company, information, fun, and munchies. Everyone is welcome and ADM 269 is accessible to all. For more information please call (408) 924-5910 or email Jane Boyd at jpboyd@email.sjsu.edu . |
