Ann GrabowskiRunning for A.S. President
Sometimes we give our voice away to our leaders because we are to "busy" to use it. WE forget that WE are the PEOPLE that the Constitution references and, that WE deserve the right to SPEAK. We've got a lot on our plates these days; WE all work multiple jobs. WE all carry heavy class loads. WE all have family obligations and hurdles to clear. WE don't necessarily have time for these types of leadership, but WE still deserve a voice. So, let me work on bettering OUR collective experience, and hopefully that will improve your individual realities. My name is Ann Grabowski, and I want to give you your voice back. I am a Senior pursuing a double major in Behavioral Science and Sociology. I am a sister of Kappa Delta Sorority, a member of Alpha Phi Omega, a Salzburg Scholar, and I have served you for two years on the A.S. Board as the Director of Internal Affairs (07-08) and Director of Community Affairs (06-07). I have been involved in Housing as a Residential Advisor and am the founder of the Fowler Leadership Academy. If elected, I will continue to fight increases in student fees and textbook prices. I will ADVOCATE for more opportunities for you to SPEAK UP, in different capacities. I will work to create bi-monthly student forums, and lobby the Legislature more often, and more effectively. Most importantly, I will always ADVOCATE for you, because I am a student leader, not a politician. |
