My name is Azra Crnogorcevic and I am running to be the next Director of Communications. A freshman, I am a newcomer to San José State University and Associated Students and am eager to improve upon old ideas and provide a fresh and new perspective to the AS Board. Currently a Public Relations major and English minor, my goal is to connect both on-campus and commuter students to Associated Students and provide a new gateway of communication. Serving as the Student Body President of my high school for a full term, I am familiar with campus legislative procedures and the goals of the student body and am anxious to provide support and input. I have also worked as a student assistant for Associated Students for two semesters, which has allowed me to gain experience, learn from the current board and familiarize myself with A.S. rules and procedures. I look forward to serving the students of San José State University and broadening the lines of communication among students, faculty, staff, and alumni. I hope to instill pride and spirit within the student body and encourage students to get involved. Keeping an open line of communication, I look forward to providing every student an equal chance to get involved and leave a mark in SJSU history. I am excited to serve students and hope to bring proud students together and to make a real difference on our campus!
