Cleary McTeague

Running for A.S. Director of Communications

Communication is key to improving what is going on around us. As students, we must work together to get our voices heard. That is what I, Cleary McTeague intend to do. Every student has so much going on and something to offer for their campus. I hope to open up the lines of communication and deliver what the students of SJSU want to see on their campus.

I will be a Junior in Fall 2008, seeking a Communication Studies degree. I am also part of Kappa Delta Sorority and participate in many philanthropy events. I participate in Intermural Sports here on campus while looking for new tasks to take on. The experiences I have gone through have taught me how to take on leadership roles, with a strong confidence of being able to complete tasks at hand. I have learned responsibility and time management through my experiences and hope to bring these over to the board.

If elected, I will fight for what the students want in a communicatively effective way. I will find a more effective way of publicizing the activities thatthe Associated Students put on. Students will also be more aware of meetings while having a descriptive newsletter so that students know ahead of time what they have available. I will coordinate proper advertizing of student meetings so students will be aware of events. I am here to aid lines of communication to get the student voices heard while working with the school to improve our campus.
