My name is Jessica Phan, a motivated junior aiming to graduate with a B.F.A in Graphic Design. Currently, I am working for SJSU Housing Services as a second year Resident Advisor of Joe West Hall, promoting academic achievement, personal development, campus involvement and community engagement. I also work for A.S. Computer Services Center, assisting and providing students with one of the finest resources on campus.

Every since my transition into SJSU, I decided to take the opportunity to be involved, starting with the executive board as Vice President of Washburn?s Hall Government 2005-2006. From there, I have grown an immense passion to serve on campus with the purposing of assisting, supporting, and improving thiscampus community.

And in order to fulfill my passion to serve San Jose State, I wish to gain your support as A.S. 2008-2009 Director of Communications of the Board of Directors.

As a Graphic Design student aiming for this position of Director of Communications:

I feel I could use my strengths and talents to fulfill this position of publicizing all the activities, resources and events that A.S. has to offer.
I plan to improve any issues and concern of advertising, playing a role in communication, to raise student awareness.
I will coordinate, execute and distribute a monthly newsletter, promoting the activities of A.S.
