Fall Welcome Days

Upon being granted admission to SJSU, new students begin to transition from high school to University life. They attend an Admitted Students Reception (ASR) and indicate their continued desire to attend San José State University. At this point, our Orientation and Transition staff become responsible for their continued transition and success.

Our outstanding Frosh Orientation is the first step in this transition process. Students are introduced to University life with the assistance of a talented group of Orientation Advisors, a group of over 30 advanced leaders. Fall Welcome Days is in essence, Orientation part II, where we pick-up from the end of Frosh Orientation and continue with the transition into the academic year. The job of orienting our new students continues beyond the first day of classes!

The Fall Welcome Board is comprised of a small group of faculty, staff, and students who plan, execute, and evaluate Fall Welcome Days programs and services. The board is comprised of four Committees, each chaired by a student . Additional students have the opportunity to serve as volunteer members of these Committees.

At Fall Welcome Days you will:

  • Get connected to campus.
  • Meet new people & build your social network.
  • Learn about important resources.
  • Build your Spartan Pride.
  • Have fun!

We are excited to welcome you to campus
