Chapter Operations

SJSU ranks each fraternity and sorority based on the collective group GPA. Each organization conducts academic workshops and invites speakers during the year to promote academic success. .

Student Involvement and the Fraternity and Sorority Life team could use your help. Over the past several years the fraternity and sorority community has struggled to meet CSU and University membership standards. Some chapters are very small, failing to meet the requisite 8 member protocol. Additionally, the CSU requires officers and members to maintain a 2.0 GPA, while the University's relationship statement requires a 2.35 (semester) and 2.0 (cumulative) for chapters and officers. The department and program team are currently initiating new protocols, programs, and services that promise to strengthen the fraternity and sorority community.

If you would like to get involved in these efforts, please contact our staff. Any level of support: monetary, in kind, and personal would be most appreciated. Offering to serve as an advisor or educational consultant, stopping by to visit the chapter, its members, or officers would be most welcome.
