Leadership Today

Leadership Today Retreat

Leadership Today is a 4-day leadership development program designed to train advanced student leaders to positively and effectively build community around issues of diversity. A diverse representation of students will be selected based on their application to the program. There is no cost to participate. Follow-up spring semester activities are anticipated.

Schedule

Fall 2008

October 1, 2008: Applications available
October 31, 2008: Applications Due
December 11, 2008, 3-5pm: Mandatory Delegate Orientation.

Spring 2008

January 5, 2009: Facilitator Training
January 6-9: Leadership Today Retreat
TBA: Delegate Follow-up Events

Program Activities

Activities include interactive workshops, large and small group discussions, and activities on inter-group relations, diversity, and leadership development.

  • 40 SJSU students with prior SJSU leadership experience

  • 4 days & 3 nights (no cost) at Asilomar Retreat Center on Monterey Bay

  • Gain lifelong leadership skills

  • Connect and create new friendships

  • Return with memories that will last forever

How to Apply

  1. Applications are available on October 1 at Student Involvement and MOSAIC.

  2. Complete the application and submit to Student Involvement or MOSAIC byOctober 31 at 5:00pm.

  3. Be sure to fill out the application form completely and answer all of the questions.
