Hepatitis B Immunization RequirementAll registered students aged 18 or under are to present proof of immunity to Hepatitis B during their first semester. Hepatitis B vaccination requires a 3-dose series of injections over a 4-6 month period. Students must provide proof of immunity or begin the vaccine series prior to the registration deadline for their second semester or they will not be able to register. (Students who begin the series must complete it prior to the registration deadline for their third semester or they will not be able to register for future classes.) Step One: Get written proof of immunityDocumentation can include immunization records or a laboratory report showing immunity to Hepatitis B. Please do not submit school records as they are not considered medical documentation. Step Two: Submit proof of immunity to the Registrar's officeYou may either bring your proof of immunity to the Registrar's Office or mail it to the address below. If you mail your proo, be sure to include your: Name and Student ID number, your date of birth, a return address and a telephone number. You may also fax your proof to the number listed below. Hepatitis B Immunization Program Step THREE: If you don't have proof of immunity...If you do not have proof of your immunity to Hepatitis B, you need to get vaccinated. You can get your immunizations from your private health care provider, the Public Health Department, or come to the Student Health Center for the vaccine at a reduced cost. |
